20 KCSE Girls Expelled After Hosting Neighboring Boys In Their Dormitories.
The government has called for vigilance in schools to avoid indiscipline among learners.
This is after the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidates from a girls boarding school were expelled after they were caught engaging in indecent acts over the weekend with boys from a nearby secondary school.
Coast RC John Elungata called for vigilance in school to curb student immoral behaviours.
Sources within the ministry state that before the suspension the female students had accommodated boys from a neighbouring school in their dormitory over the weekend.
When the incident was discovered the board held an emergency meeting and suspended the culprits.
The regional boss noted that the 20 students will sit their national exams from out of school adding that the school rules still apply to KCSE candidates.
He further directed the school to strictly separate boys and girls to avoid indecent acts, especially during the examination period.
While overseeing the opening of the exam container and distribution of KCSE exam papers to the Centre Managers on Wednesday, Principal Secretary University Education and Research Amb. Simon Nabukwesi encouraged candidates to do their best in the ongoing KCSE exams.
